Workshop on Drug Policy for IPA7 beneficiaries

The aim of this workshop is to build the knowledge and understanding of policy evaluation among people working in the field of drug policy in EMCDDA-IPA 7 beneficiaries. Based around the EMCDDA publication Evaluating drug policy: a seven step guide to support the commissioning and evaluating of evaluations, the workshop provides an overview of the role of evaluation in the policy process, key evaluation concepts and techniques, and the important steps in the evaluation process. It presents the topics covered from the perspective of those commissioning, managing or simply making use of evaluations of policies and strategies. The overall goal of the workshop is to encourage the development of an evaluation culture in order to promote the use of policy evaluations more widely, based on a long-term, realistic and pragmatic perspective.
